You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, representative models of resource, transmission system, and electricity market characteristics used in power flow, resource economic evaluation, production cost, energy supply, energy market, and other related analysis. The Electrical Power Planning Engineer will also have to model and analyze short and long term operation and performance of the electric generation and transmission system in the context of organized Locational Marginal Price-based energy markets including transmission improvements, resource additions, and resource retirements.

We require our Electrical Generation and Transmission Planning Engineer to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems emphasis or equivalent, knowledge of business economic analysis is helpful but not required. You will need to have zero to five years of experience in transmission planning or related discipline desirable as is knowledge of statistical analysis helpful but not required.
