The Electrical Power Planning Engineer Job Candidate will need to provide technical and analytical support to maintain and analyze the electrical and financial performance of the present and future electric generation and transmission system. You must also be able to support the periodic update and optimization of the Company’s planned electric energy resource portfolio and carry out the Company’s energy supply strategy.

The Madison WI, Electrical Transmission and Generation Planning Engineer Job candidate will be responsible for performing power flow, energy cost, and generation resource economic studies utilizing various tools including, but not limited to, PTI PSS/E. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, representative models of resource, transmission system, and electricity market characteristics used in power flow, resource economic evaluation, production cost, energy supply, energy market, and other related analysis. The Electrical Power Planning Engineer will also have to model and analyze short and long term operation and performance of the electric generation and transmission system in the context of organized Locational Marginal Price-based energy markets including transmission improvements, resource additions, and resource retirements.

The Process Engineer Job Candidate is responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve site goals. The Process Engineer Job duties include:

Focus on the design and/or improvement of electrical and mechanical systems that manage, protect and improve our production equipment and processes. Manage electrical and mechanical projects from conception to completion, utilizing both in-house maintenance personnel and outside contractors.
  • Manage the Boilers/Stillyard operation through the Still-yard Supervisor and Boiler and Stills team, including developing and maintaining comprehensive procedures, policies and systems to improve safety, training, quality and efficiency.
  • Reports to the Plant Manager.

Process Engineer Job Requirements:

Our Process Engineer candidate would have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience and in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated and adaptive person capable of successfully handling a variety of Engineering assignments in addition to the traditional process engineering function. Knowledge and experience with asphalt processing, storage and transport systems very desirable. Knowledge of and experience with electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, PLC's and AC/DC drives helpful. Knowledge of rotating equipment, machine design, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, bearings, lubrication, etc. a plus.
